THE MORAN GROUP and TEATRO SEA

present:

EL AVIÓN THE AIRPLANE, is the new bilingual web-series and musical album that celebrates immigrant and refugee children ✈️

(New York, September, 2020).– As part of the National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, The MORAN Group and the award winning Latino Children’s Theater, Teatro SEA, announce the launch of a brand new musical project and bilingual web-series, EL AVIÓN THE AIRPLANE, aimed at celebrating immigrant and refugee children. The show is created by a Latino creative team for children all over the world.

On September 15, 2020 audiences across the globe will have first access to this exciting new

venture. The music can be found through various music streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Music and the web episodes of our newly created SEA kids Network YouTube Channel.

Monsters and humans with different accents and cultures make up this vibrant airline crew/musical group. As they sing and dance, they will transport us to amazing places, where understanding and coexistence of both species is an essential element to their travels. In order to work and have fun together, they must first learn to respect and appreciate their cultural differences.

In EL AVIÓN THE AIRPLANE, they speak and sing in both English and Spanish, celebrating

immigrant and refugee children. “Now more than ever, immigrant and refugee children need to know that they too are special and important. At their young ages they have endured hardships and difficult situations such as migrating to a different place. Leaving everything familiar behind and starting over in a new land, with a different language and customs. This can be painful and traumatizing as they face rejection, prejudice, racism and xenophobia that prevails in our current society,” explains Dr. Manuel Morán, founder of Teatro SEA and El AVIÓN THE AIRPLANE’s creator and pilot

We want children to know that they are important and valuable. If we uplift their self-esteem this in return will create strong members in our communities. We want to bring a ray of sunlight and hope in a transforming, entertaining and fun way,” adds Morán, who has created children’s educational content for over 35 years.

EL AVIÓN THE AIRPLANE takes off from two platforms

  • ▶️ The web series EL AVIÓN THE AIRPLANE is made up of short episodes, where monsters and humans alike interact in funny and insightful situations. The first season will be streamed on the new SEA Kids Network YouTube Channel starting on September 15th, with an episode airing each week.

The entire production is made up of an international cast and crew: Jeannie Sol (USA-Puerto Rico), Florencia Cuenca (México), Iván Alexander Bautista (Ecuador), Ana Campos (Perú), Jeffrey Hernández (Puerto Rico), Samuel Garnica (Venezuela/Colombia), Victoria Raigorodsky (Argentina) and Manuel Morán (Puerto Rico), who will star as El Capitán

They will be joined by the colorful monsters created by master puppeteer José A. López (Puerto Rico), a well known artist who has created many puppets for both theater and TV in his native country as well as Teatro SEA for almost three decades.

The puppets were animated by Luis Villafañe (Puerto Rico). Leading the Musical production is Musical Director/Producer Dr. Manuel Calzada (Puerto Rico). Art Design and photography by George Riveron (Cuba), animations by Elizabeth Rodríguez (Puerto Rico) and as series director Kristian Otero (Puerto Rico).

  • ? The album A VOLAR LET’S FLY is a contemporary children’s score that includes English, Spanish and bilingual tracks. The songs cover a wide range of rhythms from Jazz, Soft Rock, Tango, Cumbia and Salsa to Urban Sounds like Reguetón and Hip-Hop.

“It’s a fun album filled with various latin sounds, at the same time carrying a special message of encouragement and hope,” says Manuel Calzada (Puerto Rico), who along with many great musicians was in charge of the musical production.

A VOLAR LET’S FLY deals with various common subjects such as how to fight fear (¡No, al miedo! y Monstruos), to never stop dreaming and reach for your goals (Sueña/Dream on y Quiero ser un superhéroe/I want to be a superhero), to use their imagination and discover new worlds and adventures through books (A Volar, Let’s fly y Ponte a leer) and finally to have fun and dance while enjoying our musical richness (Baila, Pollito, baila).

The MORÁN GROUP y TEATRO SEA

presentan:
